After four years of growing at Juniper Gardens, New Roots helps families transition onto land where farmers can start their own independent farms. 2018 marked the 10 year anniversary of New Roots for Refugees with 21 graduates still farming in the KC metro area. Since 2020, some graduate farmers have participated in New Root’s Farm Share program by growing spring green vegetables in their high tunnels. Graduates will additionally be providing specialty add-ons item to our Farm Store, such as Asian pears and sour cherries.
