Mee Nge and her husband Swa Dit moved from Burma to the US in 2008. Before they left their country of origin they grew on a large plot and sold door to door their excess vegetables that their family did not consume. After relocating to Kansas City they grew for two years in Texas and then in MO with Jewish Vocational Services. They have sold at City Market for the last four years on Saturdays and Sundays. This year Mee Nge, Swa Dit, and their two kids managed two CSA deliveries, a market CSA, and two days of selling at a farmer’s market.
