Thian Za Mawi
Thian Za Mawi came to the US in July 2011 from Burma. In Burma, Thian Za Mawi grew a garden for her family with chin baung, chilis, bok choy, onions, and cilantro. She also bought and sold vegetables at the market. Her family helps her in her garden, and she’s excited to grow (and eat!) chin baung, Thai chili, and eggplant. While in New Roots, she hopes to learn to sell her vegetables. You can find Thian Za Mawi each week at Gladstone Farmers’ Market.
